Over the Rainbow Necklace

$880.00

Heavenly bodies float over a rain droplet filled with rainbows.

Rose cut white Topaz sparkles at the center of a multi-layered halo of beams with an open back allowing light to transmit through. At the base of the star sits a lustrous crescent moon, in a silvery-white Mother of Pearl radiating softly reflecting light, just like the moon. And at the base, a heavy drop of crystal clear rain filled with secret rainbows and crystal caverns. This outstanding, table-faceted Quartz features multiple phantom crystals that float suspended. Turn this Quartz around in its open back setting to see the interior phantom quartz, naturally faceted, etched, with an all natural raw geometry and planes and textures. And as this quartz moves, rainbows appear and move over the surface of the phantoms in rich, vibrant tones that take on a dramatic metallic quality in bright sunlight. ROYGBIV rainbows of cobalt blue, turquoise, neon bronze, hot pink, sunny oranges and yellows, vibrant purples, and insect green among many others light up and flash just like rain from a storm cloud.

A necklace to celebrate natural beauty and the celestial: you can practically hear the thunder in the distance.

The Over the Rainbow Necklace pendant height measures 3.75" tall and hangs from a 25" darkly oxidized sterling chain with a handmade hook and eye closure adjustable at 2.5".
The white Topaz measures H .25" x W .25" x D .1875" and is all natural and untreated from Brazil.
The Mother of Pearl crescent moon measures H 1.25" x W .375" x D .125" and is all natural and untreated from India and hand cut in my studio.
The Phantom Rainbow Quartz weighs 90.02 carats, measures H 2.125" x W .875" x D .4375", and is all natural and untreated from Brazil.

Rainbow Phantom Crystal Quartz is a natural variety of quartz that only occurs when a crystal wand is growing, then is flooded with raw minerals paired with the perfect growing conditions, to form quartz completely engulfing the original crystal, or crystals in this instance. The rainbow develops from the intense stress of heat as the crystal grows, creating microscopic fissures that present as an outstanding rainbow phenomenon.
